From Colombia to Australia, Isabella Bouckenooghe embraces an active lifestyle shaped by exploration, personal growth, and the freedom to discover new places.
A life abroad can change the way a person sees the world. New surroundings bring different routines, unexpected challenges, and opportunities to discover what truly matters.
For Isabella Bouckenooghe, a Colombian living in Australia, fitness and travel offer two ways to stay connected with herself while exploring everything life has to offer.
In this conversation with Fame Leader, Isabella shares her perspective on living abroad, maintaining an active lifestyle, and finding inspiration in the places and experiences that make life meaningful.
Finding Home in a Different Country
Fame Leader: What has been the most rewarding part of living in Australia?
Isabella Bouckenooghe: One of the most rewarding things has been discovering how much you can learn when you step outside your comfort zone. Living in a different country exposes you to new perspectives, people, and ways of life. It teaches you to become more independent and open-minded.
Colombia will always be part of who I am. At the same time, living in Australia has given me the opportunity to grow, challenge myself, and appreciate the different experiences that shape my life.
Fame Leader: Has living abroad changed the way you approach life?
Isabella Bouckenooghe: Definitely. I have learned to appreciate the present more and not feel that everything needs to happen according to a perfect plan. Sometimes the most meaningful experiences come from unexpected situations.
I also value balance more now. I want to work toward my goals, but I also want to enjoy the journey, spend time doing things I love, and make memories along the way.
Fitness Beyond the Physical

Fame Leader: What does fitness mean to you beyond physical appearance?
Isabella Bouckenooghe: For me, fitness is about feeling good, building discipline, and taking care of myself. It is not just about how you look; it is also about how you feel mentally and physically.
I think having an active routine helps create a sense of structure, especially when life gets busy. It is a way to make time for yourself and remember that your well-being deserves attention.
Fame Leader: How do you stay motivated when your routine changes?
Isabella Bouckenooghe: I try to focus on consistency rather than perfection. Some days are easier than others, and I think it is important to understand that you do not have to do everything perfectly to make progress.
I also remind myself that movement should be something I enjoy, not something that feels like a punishment. Finding activities that fit your lifestyle makes it easier to stay committed over time.
Travel and the Beauty of Discovery
Fame Leader: What do you enjoy most about traveling?
Isabella Bouckenooghe: I love the feeling of discovering somewhere new. Every destination has its own atmosphere, culture, and little details that make it special. Sometimes it is the scenery, sometimes the people, and sometimes simply experiencing a different rhythm of life.
Travel also reminds me that there is so much to learn beyond what we already know. It encourages you to stay curious and appreciate different perspectives.
Fame Leader: Do you think travel changes the way people see themselves?
Isabella Bouckenooghe: Absolutely. When you travel, you step away from your usual environment and routines. You get the chance to see what you enjoy, what challenges you, and what really matters to you.
I think travel can make you more adaptable and confident. Even small experiences, like navigating an unfamiliar place or connecting with someone from another culture, can teach you something valuable.
Creating a Lifestyle That Feels Authentic
Fame Leader: How do you balance fitness, travel, and everyday responsibilities?
Isabella Bouckenooghe: I think balance looks different for everyone. For me, it is about making room for the things that matter without putting too much pressure on myself to have everything figured out.
I enjoy having routines, but I also like leaving space for spontaneous plans and new experiences. Life becomes more interesting when you can stay committed to your goals while remaining open to opportunities.
Fame Leader: What advice would you give someone who dreams of moving abroad or creating a new chapter in their life?
Isabella Bouckenooghe: I would tell them not to wait until they feel completely ready. Big changes can be intimidating, and there will always be things you cannot predict.
Take the first step, be patient with yourself, and allow yourself to learn along the way. You do not need to have every detail figured out before you begin. Sometimes growth starts when you are willing to try something different.
Looking Ahead
Fame Leader: What are you hoping to explore more in the future?
Isabella Bouckenooghe: I want to keep discovering new places, challenging myself, and finding experiences that help me grow. I also want to continue building a lifestyle that reflects who I am and what I value.
For me, it is not only about reaching a particular destination. It is about enjoying the process, staying curious, and creating memories that will stay with me.
A Journey Defined by Curiosity
Isabella Bouckenooghe’s story brings together the experiences of living abroad, maintaining an active lifestyle, and finding inspiration through travel. Her perspective reflects a simple idea: personal growth does not always happen through one defining moment. Often, it develops through everyday choices, new environments, and the willingness to embrace change.
From her Colombian roots to her life in Australia, Isabella continues to explore what it means to create a life that leaves room for ambition, well-being, and discovery.
For Fame Leader, her story is a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful journey is the one that teaches us more about ourselves along the way.
